Sometimes it feels like we're all about five seconds away from being triggered by something. Everywhere you turn, people are agitated, stress is high, and the effects of that make everyone jumpy. It feels like there's a constant level of stress just under the surface, waiting to bubble up at any opportunity. We need fast-acting tools at the ready to reduce our stress levels and help our cognitive functioning stay online.
In this course, you'll learn a rapidly-working brain-based tool, and experience a guided demonstration of how to use it. In lesson 1, you'll learn what it is, how it works, and give it a try. In lesson 2, you'll learn two alternative ways to do this, and get a chance to try each one, while noticing the difference it makes each time.

Lesson 1: The Power of Bilateral Stimulation
This tool comes from the therapeutic technique called EMDR, which stands for Eye Movement desensitization and reprocessing. It's a method that is commonly used for treatment of trauma. This tool I'm going to teach you can be done at any time, can be self-administered, and has very rapid results. This lesson includes information about how it works, how to use it, and a guided practice to try it out. It's a very powerful tool to induce a state of calm in moments.
Lesson 2: Bilateral Tapping
In this lesson, you'll learn a way to activate the bilateral stimulation response by physically tapping in a left-right rapidly shifting pattern. You'll be introduced to two variations on how to do this, and have a guided practice for each one, so you can experience them all and choose which feels most effective for you.
